The Real Building Workers Association of Kenya (REBWAK) is a non-political, non-profit organisation that brings construction workers together so their skills, talents and gifts are properly harnessed and recognised. Whether you are a mason, carpenter, machine operator, surveyor or site manager, this is your association.

Who we are
REBWAK was registered in 2019 under the Societies Act, Cap. 108, of the laws of Kenya. We exist to tackle informal labour and skills gaps in construction through training, certification, accreditation and social protection. Our motto, “Uniting Strengths, Developing Skills,” reflects our commitment to collaboration, higher standards and better worker welfare.
What we do
We promote professional conduct, give construction workers a collective voice on policy issues, and support their welfare and empowerment. We work with regulators such as the National Construction Authority (NCA) and the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) on accreditation, registration, employment and licensing, and we raise awareness through forums, workshops, expos and the media.
We also work with county governments, technical institutions, private companies and developers to open up attachment, internship and employment opportunities for our members.
Our mission and vision
Mission: to bring together construction workers across Kenya, harness their skills and talents, and nurture upcoming artisans for national development.
Vision: to build the capacity of construction workers through training workshops, in collaboration with government regulatory agencies and relevant private entities, promoting professionalism and integrity.
