Six ways we build the workforce

From mobilizing workers to connecting them with industry, this is how REBWAK supports Kenya’s construction workers, fundis and artisans through training and NCA accreditation support.

Mobilization

Construction is built by people who often work on their own, site to site. REBWAK brings builders and artisans together so they can connect, share information and be recognised for what they contribute to national development.

Mobilization is the foundation of everything else we do - the forums and trainings that follow depend on workers showing up and organising together.

In practice

County forums such as the Machakos construction workers forum (April 2025) and the Kiambu construction stakeholders forum.

Awareness & education

We promote construction-related learning through workshops, symposia, expos and media activities, so workers understand the standards, safety practices and opportunities that affect their work.

In practice

The Big 5 Construct Kenya Expo (2022) and our on-site construction awareness training, taken directly to workers on site.

Skills development

We support fundi training opportunities and the growth of emerging artisans, helping experienced workers formalise their skills and new entrants learn the trade.
